This Privacy Policy explains what information GigDash collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. GigDash is a family chore-and-task service used by parents and guardians to manage their household. By using GigDash you agree to this Policy.
GigDash is operated by Baldwin Consultations LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company doing business as GigDash (the "operator," "we," "us," or "our"). For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected].
GigDash accounts are for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account, and you agree that you are a parent or guardian setting up the service for your household. A parent creates the account, sets up each child and their tasks, and controls all household information.
Children do not create accounts or sign in with their own credentials. However, a parent may enable the kids panel:a household screen (for example, a shared tablet) where a child can see the tasks assigned to them and check them off. In that panel a child interacts with GigDash directly, so the "Children's privacy" section below explains how we handle children's information.
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card number and payment details are entered directly with Stripe and are never sent to or stored by GigDash. We retain only a Stripe customer and subscription identifier and your plan status so we can provide the paid features.
Your home Wi-Fi password never reaches us. When you set up a GigDash Board, Wi-Fi credentials are sent from your phone directly to the device over Bluetooth (or entered on the device's own setup screen). They are used only to connect the board to your network and are never transmitted to or stored on GigDash's servers.
We do not use your household or children's information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with service providers that help us run GigDash, and only as needed for them to perform their function:
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Stripe | Subscription payments and billing management |
| Resend | Sending transactional email (invites, account/order notices) |
| Apple Push Notification service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging | Delivering mobile push notifications |
| Cloudflare | DNS, content delivery, and network security |
| IONOS | Cloud hosting: the servers and database that run GigDash |
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public. If GigDash is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
GigDash is a parent-directed service. A parent creates the account, adds each child, and decides what tasks appear. If the parent enables the kids panel, a child can use it to view and check off the tasks their parent assigned. We designed children's use to involve as little information as possible: a parent identifies each child by a nickname, not the child's real or full name.
We do not ask children for a real name, last name, address, email, phone number, photo, or precise location, and children's information is never used for advertising or shared for advertising.
A parent provides consent for this limited use by creating the child's profile and enabling the kids panel, and remains in control at all times. From the parent account you can review everything associated with a child, edit or delete it, and turn off the kids panel to stop further collection. To review or delete a child's information, or to refuse further collection, use your account settings or contact [email protected].
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described here or what a parent provides. If you believe a child has provided us information we should not have, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you close your account, we delete or de-identify your household information within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations (for example, Stripe retains billing records as required for payment processing).
We protect information with measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and support for two-factor authentication and passkeys. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address issues if they arise.
You can view and update most of your information, manage your subscription, and close your account from your GigDash settings. You may also contact [email protected] to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) gives you the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; request access to or deletion of your personal information; request correction of inaccurate information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no need to "opt out" of such sales. To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected]; we will verify your request through your account before acting on it.
GigDash is operated in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of GigDash after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
